When replacing the filter, make sure that the rubber gasket from the old oil filter is completely removed from the mating surface of the cylinder block.
Warning! Be careful when changing engine oil as the oil is hot and can cause burns.
Gasoline engines
1. Unscrew the oil filter with a special key.
2. Lubricate the rubber sealing ring of the new oil filter with a thin layer of clean engine oil.
3. Screw in the oil filter and tighten it to the required torque. Tightening torque: 12–16 Nm.
4. Start the engine and check for oil leaks
5. After stopping the engine, check the oil level and top up if necessary.
Diesel engines
1. Loosen the oil drain plug with copper washer and drain a small amount of engine oil from the oil filter.
2. Loosen the plastic top cover until the O-ring is visible, then drain the engine oil completely. (Use wrench 09263 - 27100).
3. Remove the top cover. Make sure the oil filter element is removed along with the plastic top cover.
4. Replace with new oil filter element and O-ring.
5. Tighten the top cover of the oil filter to the required torque. Tightening torque: 23–25 Nm.
6. Place a new copper washer on the plug and screw the plug into the lower aluminum cap. Tightening torque: 8–10 Nm.
7. Start the engine and check for oil leaks.
8. After stopping the engine, check the oil level and top up if necessary.
