The diesel engine oil cooler is located at the base of the oil filter and transfers heat from the heated engine oil to the coolant.
Removal
1. Remove the oil filter.
2. Disconnect the cooling system hoses from the oil radiator.
3. Unscrew the threaded adapter of the oil filter.
4. Remove the oil cooler from the oil pump.
Examination
1. Check the oil radiator for leaks.
2. Check the oil radiator for damage.
