- The fuel system operates at high pressures (1350 bar).
- Do not carry out any work on the fuel system while the engine is running or within 30 seconds after it has stopped.
- Always take precautions.
- Ensure absolute cleanliness while working.
Order of execution
1. Insert the coupling into the pump.
2. Apply a light coat of lubricant to the o-ring and install the fuel pump to the cylinder head while turning the pump to engage the pump shaft with the camshaft.
3. Apply a blocking compound to the threads of the fuel pump mounting bolts to prevent their spontaneous unscrewing.
4. Screw in bolts with washers and tighten them to the required torque. Tightening torque: 13–18 Nm.
5. Install high pressure piping. Tightening torque: 18–23 Nm.
