- The fuel system operates at high pressures (1350 bar).
- Do not perform any work on the fuel system while the engine is running or within 30 seconds after it has stopped.
- Always take safety precautions.
- Ensure absolute cleanliness when working.
Procedure
1. Insert the coupling into the pump.
2. Apply a thin layer of lubricant to the O-ring and install the fuel pump onto the cylinder head while turning the pump to engage the pump shaft with the camshaft.
3. Apply a blocking compound to the threads of the fuel pump mounting bolts to prevent them from loosening spontaneously.
4. Screw in the bolts with washers and tighten them to the required torque. Tightening torque: 13–18 Nm.

5. Install the high pressure pipeline. Tightening torque: 18–23 Nm.
