The engine air temperature sensor is built into the air flow meter sensor and is a thermistor whose resistance changes depending on temperature.
Checking the sensor
1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of the engine air temperature sensor.
2. Measure the resistance between the sensor connector terminals.
Temperature | Resistance, kOhm |
0°C | 5,12–5,89 |
20°C | 2,29–2,55 |
40°C | 1,09–1,24 |
80°C | 0,31–0,37 |
3. If the sensor resistance differs from the required value, replace the sensor together with the AFS.
