Withdrawal
1. Drain the coolant to a level below the thermostat.
2. Remove the coolant inlet fitting and gasket.
3. Remove the thermostat.
4. Hang the thermostat on a thread in a transparent vessel with water. Insert a thermometer into the water, heat a vessel of water and observe the thermostat valve. Determine the temperature of the start of opening and full opening of the thermostat valve.
Petrol engines:
- Thermostat valve opening start temperature: 82°C.
- Thermostat valve full opening temperature: 95°C.
Diesel engines:
- The temperature at which the thermostat valve opens: 83.5–86.5°C.
- Thermostat valve full opening temperature: 100°C.
Installation
1. Install the thermostat so that the bleeder valve is correctly positioned in the seat. If the thermostat is installed in the wrong position, it may not work properly.
2. Install a new gasket and coolant inlet fitting. Tightening torque: 20–25 Nm.
3. Fill the cooling system with the required amount of the required coolant. Start the engine and check for leaks from the cooling system.
The moment of an inhaling of the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid: 20–40 Н·м.
