Each drive consists of three parts: an inner part consisting of a splined end and a constant velocity joint (CV joint), an outer part also consisting of a splined end and CV joint, and a central drive shaft.
The splined tip of the inner joint housing enters with its splines into the splines of the differential axle gear and is fixed in it with a retaining ring. The splined end of the outer joint housing is inserted and secured with a nut into the wheel hub. The hinges are lubricated with consistent grease and covered on the outside with protective covers. The only maintenance required for the wheel drives is a visual inspection for separation or damage to the protective boots or oil leaks from the inner joint seal. If the hub bearing seal is leaking lubricant, it means it needs to be replaced.
