With the vehicle raised, the drive shaft joint boots can be easily checked. Press the protruding parts of the cover (arrow) to the side where shown in the figure to identify possible damage.

Turn the wheel and check both shaft boots for small cracks and broken spots.

Check if the clamp is securely seated. Tighten the clamp if necessary.
Traces of grease on the protective covers are an alarm signal, since loss of grease or dirt or moisture getting inside very quickly destroys the surface of the hinge.
Replace damaged covers immediately. To do this, you need to remove the drive shaft and disassemble it.
