Gas engine
Recommended engine oil
Engine oil is very important for the operation and maintenance of the engine. It is recommended that you check the engine oil level at least once a week under normal driving conditions, and more frequently if you are traveling or driving under severe conditions.
SH, SG or SG/CD multifunctional fuel economy oil recommended (API).
Note: For vehicles constantly moving at high speeds, it is not recommended to use engine oil with a viscosity-temperature characteristic according to SAE 5W-20.
Diesel engine
Recommended engine oil
The condition of the engine oil is of great importance for the operation of the engine and proper care of it. It is recommended to check the oil level every 500 km or before a long trip, and if you travel or drive in particularly difficult conditions, check more often.
The quality of the oil must meet the following classification:
- API classification: CF-4 or higher.
- ACEA classification: B4.
Note: SAE 0W-30 viscosity-temperature engine oil is designed for use in extremely cold climates. Especially it is not recommended to use it for cars constantly moving with a high load and at high speeds.
Checking the engine oil level
Gas engine | diesel engine |
Before checking the engine oil level, warm up the engine to normal operating temperature and make sure the vehicle is parked on a level surface. Turn off the engine.
Wait approximately five minutes (Gas engine) / approximately two minutes (diesel engine), pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert the dipstick all the way, and then pull it out. Check the oil level on the dipstick. It must be between the marks ("FULL" ("Full")) And ("LOW" ("Short")) on the probe.
Topping up engine oil
Gas engine | diesel engine |
If the oil level is at or below the mark ("L" ("Short")) on the dipstick, add oil to the mark ("F" ("Full")), For this:
- 1. Remove the engine oil filler cap by turning it counterclockwise.
- 2. Drink the oil, check the oil level again. Do not add more oil than required.
- 3. Install the plug by turning it clockwise.
Distance between marks ("F" ("Full")) And ("L" ("Short")) on the dipstick corresponds to approximately 1.2 liters of engine oil.
