Removal



Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Raise the car on a lift.

Drain the engine oil.

Unload the engine mounts and remove the front bracket and V-belts.

Remove the engine camshaft drive components.

Remove the oil pan.

Remove the front engine cover with the oil pump.

Installation



The oil pump is installed in the reverse order.

Models with external gear pump (1.6L and 1.8L engines)

2 - driven gear;
3 - leading gear;
4 - Front engine cover;
5 - oil seal;
6 - ring;
7 - cork;
8 - pressure reducing valve plug;
9 - gasket;
10 - spring;
11 - plunger (piston);
12 - Oil filter bracket;
13 - oil pressure sensor;
14 - oil filter;
15 - oil seal;
16 - gasket;
17 - cover.


Removal



Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.



Raise the car on a lift.

Drain the engine oil and coolant.

Unload the engine mounts and remove the front bracket and V-belts. •Remove the engine camshaft drive components (with belt).

After unscrewing the oil filter, remove the filter bracket.

Remove the oil pan.

Remove the oil pan.


After unscrewing the plug in the front cover, secure the baffle shaft with a screwdriver to prevent it from turning. Loosen the pump driven gear bolt.

Mark the position of the gears (A) and remove.

Mark the position of the gears (A) and remove.


Installation



The oil pump is installed in the reverse order.
