SAE J 1 703, DOT 3 or DOT 4 specification brake fluid is recommended.
Observe safety precautions when handling brake fluid.
Remove the brake fluid from the reservoir using a suction device to a level of about 10 mm, but not all of it, so that air does not enter the system.
Fill the expansion tank with new brake fluid up to the MAX mark.
Connect a clean hose to the air bleed valve at the rear wheel and place a container underneath.
The assistant should press the brake pedal several times until the required pressure is created, and then keep his foot on the pressed pedal. Open the valve. When the pedal reaches the stop, close the valve and remove your foot from the pedal. Repeat this process with each bleeder valve until only new brake fluid appears, which is lighter in color.
Close the air release valve and fill the expansion tank with new brake fluid.
In a similar manner, pump out the old brake fluid from the remaining brake calipers and wheel cylinders.
