Withdrawal
Loosen the self-locking top nuts (1).
After installing the jack under the lower suspension arm, unscrew the fasteners.
Disconnect the brake hoses.
Loosen and remove the bolts connecting the rear suspension strut assembly to the rear suspension knuckle.
Disconnect the ABS sensor.
Detach the rack (1) anti-roll bar.
Remove the rear strut assembly from under the car arch.
Check the rubber parts for wear and cracks.
Check the shock absorber for malfunctions, fluid leaks and abnormal noise during operation.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Attention: The final tightening of the rear suspension nuts is carried out after lowering the vehicle to the ground.
Suspension strut - disassembly and assembly
Disassembly
Using a screwdriver blade as a lever, remove the protective cap.
Using the tool, compress the spring so that it moves away from the top. When using a special device for compressing springs, make sure that the coils of the spring are securely gripped and that the spring is compressed from opposite sides (see fig.).
Secure the shock absorber rod against turning with a wrench and, using the second wrench, unscrew the shock absorber rod mounting nut.
After removing the washer, remove the top bushing.
Remove the top support of a rack.
Remove the top spring cup.
Remove the top bushing.
Remove the sleeve, shock absorber cup, protective cover, compression stroke buffer.
Remove the spring together with the spring compressor.
Check the smoothness of the stroke under full compression and extension. The rod should move without jerking and jamming.
Attention: The rear shock absorber has a tensile force (A) must be greater than when compressed (B).
Check for oil leaks from stem seals and welds. The stem must not be deformed or damaged.
Assembly
If a new spring is being installed, compress it with a tool and install it on the shock absorber.
Align the bottom coil of the spring with the notch in the spring seat.
Install the compression stroke buffer, guard, then align the top coil of the spring with the notch in the top cup and install the cup.
Install the sleeve, upper bushing and upper spring cup.
Install the top support of the rack so that the marks (A) And (IN) coincided when viewed from above.
Screw on and pre-tighten the self-locking nut.
Remove the spring compressors and finally tighten the self-locking nut.
Caution: Do not use an impact wrench when tightening the special tool bolt.
