Removal



Remove the front wheel.

Disconnect the brake hose bracket from the front strut assembly on ABS models, remove the wheel speed sensor from the steering knuckle and disconnect the sensor wire from the front strut (Fig. 4.16).

Note: Do not apply excessive force when separating parts.

Unscrew the three nuts securing the front strut damper support (upper) (Fig. 4.17).

Loosen the bolts securing the front strut to the steering knuckle (lower) and remove the strut assembly (Fig. 4.18).

Installation



Before installing the front strut assembly, make sure the connecting surfaces of the parts are clean.

Tighten the following parts to the following specified torques.

Connect the brake hose bracket to the front strut on ABS models, install the wheel speed sensor to the steering knuckle and connect the sensor wire to the front strut.
