Note: Before disconnecting the hose, mark its position for subsequent reconnection.
1. Disconnect the valve vacuum hose.
2. Disconnect the valve connector.
3. Connect the vacuum pump to the valve fitting to which the hose was connected.
4. Create a vacuum and check the operation of the valve when applying battery voltage to the connector contacts.
5. Measure the valve resistance with an ohmmeter. Nominal value (at 20'C): 26 Ohm (1.4 l engine); 16 Ohm (1.6L engine).
