When shifting gears, depending on the selected range, you must either press the brake pedal simultaneously with the button located on the selector lever, or press only the button, or simply move the lever.
Selector positions
R (PARK) (parking)
The mode is intended for parking the car and for starting the engine. To avoid damage, do not move the selector to the position «R» during movement.
R (REVERSE) (reverse gear)
The mode is designed to move the car backwards. To avoid damage, set the selector to the position «R» only after the vehicle has come to a complete stop.
N (NEUTRAL) (neutral gear)
In this selector position, no gear is involved.
D (DRIVE) (forward movement)
The mode is designed to move the car forward. Gears change automatically.
2 (Second gear) (Second gear range)
This lever position is used on long climbs and under engine braking. In this case, only the first or second gears can be engaged while driving. However, if a certain engine speed is exceeded, a shift to third gear may also occur (as a precautionary measure). After normal road conditions, move the lever to the position «D».
L (Low gear) (Low gear range)
This lever position is used on very steep hills and for engine braking on steep descents. In this position, the vehicle moves in second gear until the vehicle slows down to a speed where first gear can be engaged. In first gear, it is unacceptable to exceed the speed of 50 km / h.
Attention:
- For smooth and safe operation of the automatic transmission, press the brake pedal when shifting from the shift position «R» or «N» to the forward or reverse position.
- Any movement of the lever from the position «P» the brake pedal must be depressed.
- Switching the lever to position «R» or «R» can only be done after the vehicle has come to a complete stop.
- Do not press the accelerator pedal with the brake pedal depressed if any of the gears is engaged.
- Don't use position «R» instead of a parking brake.
Overshift switch
Pressing this button in the lever position «» 1st gear is excluded from the shift range. This is necessary for a smooth and accurate start of movement on a slippery road (this mode is also called winter).
