Contents: Selector positions ⇓ High gear switch ⇓
The automatic transmission has four forward and one reverse speed.
When changing gears, depending on the selected range, you must either press the brake pedal simultaneously with the button located on the selector lever, or press only the button, or simply move the lever.

Selector positions
P(PARK) (parking)
The mode is intended for parking the car and for starting the engine. To avoid damage, do not move the selector to the "P" position while driving.
R (REVERSE) (reverse gear)
The mode is designed for moving the car backwards. To avoid damage, set the selector to the "R" position only after the car has completely stopped.
N (NEUTRAL) (neutral gear)
In this selector position, no gear is engaged.
D (DRIVE) (moving forward)
The mode is designed for moving the car forward. Gears are switched automatically.
2 (Second gear) (Second gear range)
This lever position is used on long climbs and when braking with the engine. In this case, only the first or second gear can be engaged while driving. However, if a certain engine speed is exceeded, the gear shift can also occur to the third gear (as a safety measure). After normalizing the road conditions, move the lever to the "D" position.
L (Low gear) (Low gear range)
This lever position is used on very steep climbs and when engine braking on steep descents. In this position, the car moves in second gear until the car slows down to a speed at which first gear can be engaged. In first gear it is not permissible to exceed the speed of 50 km/h.
Attention:
- For smooth and safe operation of the automatic transmission, press the brake pedal when shifting from the "P" or "N" position to the forward or reverse position.
- Whenever the lever is moved from the "P" position, the brake pedal must be depressed.
- The lever can be switched to the "P" or "R" position only after the vehicle has come to a complete stop.
- Do not press the accelerator pedal while the brake pedal is depressed if any gear is engaged.
- Do not use the "P" position instead of the parking brake.
High gear switch
When you press this button in the " position of the lever, the first gear is excluded from the gear shift range. This is necessary for a smooth and careful start on a slippery road (this mode is also called winter).
