Execution order


1. Turn the brake light switch until the required clearance is obtained between the switch and the brake pedal, then tighten the switch lock nut.

Gap between pedal and brake light switch: 0.5–1.0 mm

2. With the engine off, press the brake pedal several times to remove any play in the system. Press the brake pedal by hand until you feel a noticeable resistance and measure the free travel of the pedal.

Brake pedal free play: 3–8 mm

3. Start the engine and press the brake pedal with a force of 50 kg, and measure the distance from the floor to the center of the brake pedal pad.
  • Minimum distance of brake pedal from floor: 70 mm
  • When the pedal is fully depressed without brake fluid: 50 mm
