1. Remove the floor carpet and measure the brake pedal installation height above the floor. If the pedal installation height is not as specified, adjust as follows.

2) Loosen the push rod lock nut and adjust the height of the brake pedal above the floor within the required limits and, by rotating the push rod, decrease or increase its length.

3) Turn the brake light switch until there is a gap of 0.5–1.0 mm between the switch and the brake pedal stop

Note: The brake pedal travel should be at least 130 mm, otherwise, repeat the adjustment of the brake pedal height and the gap between the brake light switch and the pedal stop.


4) Connect the connector to the brake light switch.



5) Make sure that the brake lights turn off when you release the brake pedal.

6) With the engine off, press the brake pedal several times to remove the vacuum in the brake booster. Press the brake pedal by hand until you feel a noticeable resistance and measure the free travel of the pedal.

Brake pedal free play: 3-8 mm

If the brake pedal free play is less than required, check that the clearance between the brake light switch plunger and the brake pedal stop is within the specified range.

If the pedal free travel is greater than required, the cause is an increased gap between the axle and the brake pedal lever. Check the condition of the parts and replace them if necessary.
