The triple (dual) pressure switch is a combination switch for low pressure (to check the amount of refrigerant), medium pressure (to turn on the condenser fan) and high pressure (to prevent overheating).
The sensor is installed in the outlet pipe and when the pressure becomes approximately 200 kPa or less, the condenser fan is turned off, thus preventing the compressor from overheating. When the pressure reaches 1400 kPa, the condenser fan is turned off, thus preventing it from consuming energy. When the pressure reaches 3214 kPa, the compressor is turned off.
Removal
1. Discharge the air conditioning system.
2. Disconnect the connector from the triple (dual) pressure sensor.
3. Unscrew the triple (double) pressure sensor.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2. Evacuate, charge and test the air conditioning system.
