Gasoline engines - removal and installation
1. Loosen the drain plug (A) and drain the coolant. Remove the radiator cap to speed up the draining process.
Caution: Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Otherwise, hot fluid may be ejected from the radiator under high pressure, which may cause severe burns.

2. Remove the drive belt (A).
Type MDPS
3. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (A).
HPS type
Note: Tightening torque: 7.8-11.8 Nm

4. Remove the coolant inlet pipe mounting bolt (A), and then remove the water pump (B) and gasket.
Note: Tightening torque: A: 9.8-11.8 Nm. B: 18.6-23.5 Nm.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
6. Fill the radiator with coolant and check for leaks.
Note:
- Bleed the cooling system.
- Start the engine and let it warm up (until the radiator fan comes on 3-4 times).
- Stop the engine and let it cool. Check the coolant level and add more if necessary. This will remove air from the cooling system.
- Replace the radiator cap securely, start the engine again and check for leaks.
Diesel Engines - Removal
1. Drain the coolant from the system.
Caution: Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Otherwise, hot fluid may be ejected from the radiator under high pressure, which may cause severe burns.
2. Loosen the tensioner by turning it counterclockwise with a wrench. Then remove the drive belt (A).

3. Remove the water pump pulley (A).

4. Remove the water pump (A) and gasket (B).

5. Remove the coolant inlet pipe (A) with the sealing ring (B).

6. Remove the water pump cover (A) and gasket (B).

Installation
1. Install the water pump cover and new gasket.
Note: Tightening torque: 19.6 - 24.5 Nm.
2. Install the coolant inlet pipe (A) with a new O-ring (B).
Note: Tightening torque: 19.6 - 24.5 Nm.
Caution: When connecting the coolant inlet pipe to the body, do not allow dust and oil to come into contact with the surface of the sealing ring, and be careful not to damage the surface of the sealing ring.

3. Install the water pump (A) with a new gasket (B).
Note: Tightening torque: 19.6 - 24.5 Nm.

4. Install the water pump pulley (A).
Note: Tightening torque: 7.8 - 11.8 Nm.

5. Install the drive belt (A).

6. Fill the engine with coolant.
7. Start the engine and check for leaks.
8. Recheck the engine coolant level.
