Procedure
1. Check the condition of the poly V-belt and its position on the pulleys.
Warning! If the poly V-belt makes any extraneous noise during operation, check the belt for wear and damage, as well as the working surfaces of the pulleys. Also check the belt deflection, which determines its tension.
2. If you do not have a special device, check the belt tension by pressing on it with a force of 100 N in a place located at the same distance from the pulleys and measure the belt deflection.
Belt deflection:
- new belt: 5-5.5 mm;
- previously used belt: 6-7 mm;
- working belt: 8 mm.
