- Do not touch or remove the ignition wires while the engine is running or the starter is running.
- Disconnect the ignition wires only when the ignition is off.
- Connect and disconnect the wires of measuring devices only with the ignition off.
- Do not connect a radio interference suppression capacitor or test lamp to the ground terminal of the ignition coil.
- Measuring instruments and a stroboscope must not be connected to the positive terminal of the ignition coil while the engine is running.
- Do not replace the ignition coil with another type of coil.
- Do not warm up the car to temperatures above 80°C (e.g. painting, car drying). Start the engine only when the car has cooled down.
- Wash the car only with the ignition off.
- Disconnect the battery completely for electric and spot welding.
