Models before 2000.
Elements of the ignition system (models before 2000.)
1 - candle;
2 - spark plug tip;
3 - ignition coil;
4 - lid;
5 - ignition system malfunction sensor.
Removal
After unscrewing the screws, remove the ignition system malfunction sensor (5).
After unscrewing the screws, remove the central cover (4).
Disconnect the high voltage wires.
Remove the screws and remove the ignition coils as an assembly.
Remove the spark plugs.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Models since 2001
Elements of the ignition system (models from 2001)
1 - candle;
2 - "ground" wire;
3 - ignition coil;
4 - connectors;
5 - ignition system malfunction sensor.
Removal
Remove the engine protective cover.
Disconnect the ignition coil connectors (4).
After unscrewing the screws, remove the ignition coils (3).
Disconnect the ground wires.
Remove the spark plugs (1).
Disconnect the ignition fault sensor bus connector.
Loosen the screws and remove the fault sensor (5).
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
