Check the cooling system hoses for porosity. Replace hardened hoses.
Check the reliability of the hose fastening on the fittings, as well as the reliability of the clamps. If necessary, replace the old tie straps with screw clamp straps.
If it is not possible to locate the leak, check the cooling system with the engine hot. The leak may be in the area of the water pump.
High coolant or oil consumption in the engine, as well as white smoke from the exhaust, may indicate a defective cylinder head gasket.
In extreme cases, it is recommended to pressure test the cooling system to identify leak locations.
