Possible places of oil leakage:
  • The junction of the engine and gearbox (flywheel seal and gearbox shaft seal).
  • The junction of the two halves of the gearbox housing.
  • Oil filler and oil drain plugs.
  • The connection point between the drive shaft and the gearbox.

The connection point between the drive shaft and the gearbox.

To find the leak location you should:

Clean the gearbox housing with cold cleaner.

Check the oil level and top up if necessary.

Sprinkle chalk or talc on the joints and gaskets on the engine.

After a long drive, lift the vehicle and check for transmission leaks.

Fix the leak as quickly as possible.
