Contents: Removal ⇓ Installation ⇓
The fuel filter is located in the engine compartment. When removing the fuel filter, you will need a container to collect the fuel and a suitable rubber plug to close the fuel line.

Removal

Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Disconnect the battery only when the ignition is off.

Place a container under the fuel filter to collect the fuel.

Remove the air filter.

Relieve pressure in the fuel system.

While holding the fuel filter mounting nut, loosen the hollow bolt.

Unscrew the lower fuel pipe from the filter and remove the fuel filter.

Installation

Insert and screw in the new fuel filter with new gaskets. Tighten the hollow bolt to 35 Nm.

To operate the fuel pump, connect battery voltage to the fuel pump terminal via an auxiliary wire.

After creating pressure in the fuel system, check the connection points for leaks.

Disconnect the auxiliary wire.

Connect the battery.

If available, set the time on the clock and enter the security code into the radio.
