Unleaded gasoline
91 RON unleaded gasoline must be used on HYUNDAI vehicles (research method, "Normal") or higher. Use of leaded gasoline will damage the catalytic converter (OG) and to the failure of systems to reduce toxicity. It can also lead to increased vehicle maintenance costs. To avoid the possibility of refueling the vehicle with leaded fuel, the vehicle's filler neck is designed to accept only a reduced-diameter refueling nozzle used to supply unleaded fuel.
Warning! In some countries, Hyundai vehicles are supplied that have the ability to run on leaded fuel. If you intend to use leaded fuel, please consult your authorized HYUNDAI dealer about the possibility of using leaded fuel in your vehicle. The octane number of leaded gasoline is the same as that of unleaded gasoline.
Warning! The Hyundai New Vehicle Warranty does not cover fuel system damage and engine performance degradation caused by the use of methanol or fuel containing methanol.
Environmentally friendly fuels
In order to reduce air pollution, Hyundai recommends the use of fuels containing cleaning additives to help prevent the formation of carbon deposits in the engine. Such fuel will contribute to cleaner engine operation and better performance of emission control systems.
