Windscreen wiper switch positions
Warning! To prevent damage to the wiper system, do not attempt to clear heavy snow or ice deposits, and accumulated snow or ice must be manually cleared. If there is only a light layer of snow or ice, turn on the heater on the heated windshield and melt the snow or ice before using the wipers.
Windshield washer operation
Washer fluid will be applied to the windshield when the wiper/washer lever is moved towards the steering wheel. If the vehicle is equipped with intermittent wiper blades, when the windshield washer is applied, the wipers will automatically make two strokes while the windshield washer switch is released at the same time as the washer fluid is applied.
Direction of movement of the windshield wiper switch to turn on the washer
If the vehicle is not equipped with intermittent wiper operation, the windshield washer will only dispense washer fluid for as long as the wiper/windshield washer switch is depressed.
Warning! Do not operate the washer for more than 15 seconds or when there is no fluid in the washer reservoir.
Warning! In cold weather, before using the wiper, make sure that the wiper blades are not frozen to the glass.
Warning! In areas where the water freezes in winter, use anti-freeze washer fluid to clean the windshield.
Defogging the windshield
Move the windshield wiper/washer switch lever upwards to clear the fog that has settled on the windshield. The wiper blades will make one stroke.
