This switch has three positions:
- 1. Intermittent mode
- 2. Slow motion
- 3. Fast moving
Note: To prevent damage to the windshield wipers, do not attempt to clean heavy snow or ice deposits with them. Accumulated snow or ice must be cleared manually. If there is only a light layer of snow or ice, turn on the heater on the heated windshield and melt the snow or ice before using the wipers.
Windshield washer operation
Washer fluid will be applied to the windshield when the wiper/washer switch lever is moved towards the steering wheel. When you turn on the windshield washer, simultaneously with the supply of washer fluid, the wipers will automatically make two strokes. The washer will stop working when the wiper/windshield washer switch is released.
Note:
- Do not operate the washer for more than 15 seconds or when the washer reservoir is empty.
- In cold weather, before using the wiper, make sure that the wiper blades are not frozen to the glass.
- In areas where water freezes in winter, use antifreeze windscreen washer fluid.
Defogging the windshield
1 - Defogging the windshield
To remove mist on the windshield, move the wiper/windshield washer switch lever up. The wiper blades will make one stroke.
Wiper operation with variable wiper interval
To use the variable interval wiper mode, move the wiper switch to the position "INT" (intermittent mode). In this switch position, the wiper intermittent interval can be changed from approximately 1 to 18 seconds by turning the intermittent interval adjustment wheel on the switch lever.
Rear window wiper and washer
1. @@@: The washer fluid is applied to the rear window and the wiper operates when the tip of the switch lever is in this position.
2. "ON" (On): When the tip of the switch lever is in the position "ON" (On,), the rear window wiper operates constantly.
3. "OFF" (Off).
