Checking the technical condition
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Disconnect the temperature control actuator connector.
3. Verify that the temperature control actuator moves to the hot position when 12V is applied to terminal 3 and terminal 4 is grounded. Verify that when the power connection is reversed, the temperature control actuator moves the damper to the maximum cool position.
1, 2, 3. Hot air position
4. Cold air position
5. Sensor "mass"
6. Feedback signal
7.5V (Vcc)
Note: Specifications:
5. Measure the voltage between terminals 6 and 7 (passenger side).
Note: Specifications:
* Transmits information to the controls about the current position of the drive.
6. If the measured voltage value does not correspond to the specifications, replace the temperature control drive with a known good one and check for correct operation.
7. If the fault is corrected, replace the temperature control actuator.
