Checking the technical condition
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Disconnect the air mode control actuator connector.
3. Verify that when applying 12 V to pin 3 and «masses» on terminal 4, the air supply mode control actuator moves to the heating position.
4. When the polarity is reversed, the air mode control actuator should move to the ventilation position.
1., 2., 3. Heating mode
4. Ventilation mode
5. «Weight» sensor
6. Feedback signal
7.5V (Vcc)
5. Measure the voltage between pins 5 and 6.
* Transmits information to the controls about the current position of the actuator.
6. If the measured voltage is not within the specified range, substitute a known-good air control actuator and verify that the system is functioning properly.
7. If the problem is gone, replace the temperature controller.
Replacement
1. Follow steps 1-7 of section «Replacing the Temperature Control Actuator» of this chapter.
2. Disconnect the connector (A) mode control drive.
3. Loosen the screws and remove the drive (IN) mode control.
4. Installation is made in the reverse order of removal.
