Note: Clean all parts thoroughly. Apply engine oil to all friction surfaces immediately before assembly. Replace all seals and valve stem seals with new ones during assembly.
1. Using a special tool (09222 - 27200), install the oil deflector (A) caps on the valve guide bushings.

2. Install the valves into the oil seals. Make sure the valve moves up and down smoothly.
3. Using a special device (09222 - 27300), compress and install the springs (A), spring plates (B) and valve crackers (C).
4. Gently tap the valves with a plastic hammer to ensure that the crackers are fully seated in the valve stem grooves.

Note: Use a hammer to hit the valve stem only in the axial direction, so as not to disturb its geometry.
5. Install hydraulic compensators. Be careful not to spill engine oil from the hydraulic compensator. Do not allow dust to enter.
6. Install the valve cover.
7. Install the rocker arms on the hydraulic lifters and on the valve covers.
8. Apply engine oil to the camshaft and install it into the cylinder head.
9. Make sure that the rocker arm is firmly seated on the hydraulic compensator and that the roller touches the camshaft cam.
10. Adjust the pistons so that they are at half stroke. Install the camshaft bearing caps.
11. Tighten the mounting bolts.
12. Tighten the mounting bolts in the sequence shown in the figure. Tightening torque 26.5-29.5 Nm.
