3. Connect the drive cable to the parking brake lever.
4. Clean the threaded part (B) and the rod (A) of the clearance adjuster. Apply grease to all parts of the clearance adjuster, then insert the rod (A) and the threaded part (B) into the adjusting nut (C).

5. Attach the spring (D) first to the clearance adjuster. Then to the brake shoe.
6. Install the slack adjuster and upper return spring (E), taking care not to damage the slave cylinder dust boots.
7. Install the lower return spring (F).
8. Lubricate the friction surfaces of the working cylinder in the places shown below. Remove any excess lubricant. Do not allow lubricants to come into contact with the working surfaces of the brake mechanisms.

9. Apply grease to the areas shown in the figure below (white arrows indicate the areas to apply grease on the outside, and black arrows indicate the areas to apply grease on the inside). Remove any excess grease. Do not allow lubricants to come into contact with the working surfaces of the brake mechanisms.

10. Apply grease to the surface of the drum brake back plate. Be careful not to damage the dust boots of the working cylinder.
11. Install the stop pins (B) and stops (C).

12. Install the upper return spring (D).
13. Install the brake drum.
14. Fill with brake fluid and bleed the system to remove air.
