Checking the oil level (Hyundai Elantra XD)

Inspect the gearbox for oil leaks. After unscrewing the filler plug, check the transmission oil level. If the oil is contaminated, replace it.

Warning: When checking the oil level, the vehicle must be in a horizontal position.

Procedure

1. Unscrew the oil filler plug.

2. Check the oil level, which should be near the bottom edge of the threaded hole for the oil filler plug. If the oil level is low, add the required amount of oil

3. If the oil is contaminated or its viscosity differs from the required one, replace it.
