General information
The glow plug is a protected, gas-tight tubular heating element. The heater element includes two coupled resistors: a heater coil at the tip of the tube and a control wire.
On the new generation glow plugs (GSK2), the control thread resistance increases even faster with increasing temperature than on conventional S-RSK glow plugs. This means that the newer GSK2 glow plugs reach the engine starting temperature faster (850°C in 4 s).
