General information
The glow plug is a protected gas-tight tubular heating element. The heater element includes two coupled resistors: a heater coil at the tip of the tube and a control filament.
On glow plugs (GSK2) of the new generation, the resistance of the control thread increases even faster with increasing temperature than in conventional S-RSK glow plugs. This means that newer GSK2 glow plugs are faster (850°C in 4 s) reach the temperature to start the engine.
