Procedure
1. Remove the radiator cap.
2. Make sure the coolant level reaches the filler neck.
3. Install the radiator cap tester to the filler neck and pressurize the cooling system. Make sure that the pressure in the cooling system is maintained for 2 minutes.
Pressure when checking the tightness of the cooling system:
- Petrol engines: 140 kPa
- Diesel engines: 150 kPa
- 1. Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot, as escaping vapors may cause severe burns. Cover the radiator cap with a thick rag and slowly unscrew the cap until you hear the escaping steam hiss. After the steam stops escaping, slowly unscrew and remove the radiator cap.
- 2. Make sure there is no moisture in the areas you checked.
- 3. When the tester is removed, be careful not to spill coolant from the tester.
- 4. Be careful when installing and moving the device and when checking, do not damage the radiator filler neck.

4. Otherwise, locate the leak and repair it.
