Procedure
1. Using the adapter, secure the radiator cap to the radiator cap tester.
2. Increase the pressure until the lid valve moves.
Petrol engines:
- Main valve opening pressure: 83-110 kPa
- Vacuum valve opening pressure: -7 kPa
Diesel engines:
- Main valve opening pressure: 107.9±14.7 kPa
- Main valve closing pressure: 83.4 kPa
3. Make sure the valve opens and closes within the specified limits.
4. Replace the radiator cap if the valve opens and closes outside the specified limits.
Attention! Before checking, make sure that the cover is clean and free of rust and foreign impurities that could impair its operation.
