This pressure is selected to provide maximum driving comfort, minimum tire tread wear and stability under normal driving conditions.
Tire pressure should be checked at least once a month. Correct tire pressure must be maintained for the following reasons:
- Low air pressure in tires leads to uneven tire tread wear and poor vehicle handling.
- Increased air pressure in tires increases the risk of wheel impact damage and causes uneven tire tread wear.
Caution: Always observe the following:
- Check air pressure on cold tires. Tires are considered cold if the vehicle has been parked for at least three hours and driven no more than 1 mile (1.6 km). from the moment the engine is started.
- Check the spare tire pressure every time you check the tire pressure.
