In the engine compartment
You need to check regularly:
- Engine oil level and quality
- Level and quality of oil in the crankcase of an automatic transmission
- Fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir
- Fluid level in clutch reservoir
- coolant level
- Fluid level in the windshield washer reservoir
- Attachment drive belt
- Condition of the engine cooling system hoses
- No fluid leaks (on or under parts)
- Fluid level in the power steering pump reservoir
- Battery status
Outside car
It is necessary to check at least once a month:
- General view and condition of the car
- Wheel condition and wheel nuts tightening
- exhaust system
- Condition and operation of lighting devices
- Windshield condition
- Wiper blade condition
- The condition of the paintwork and the presence of traces of corrosion of the body
- No fluid leaks
- Door and hood locks
- Tire condition and air pressure (including spare wheel)
Inside the car
Before each trip, check:
- The work of lighting devices
- Windshield wiper operation
- Beep operation
- The operation of the glass blowing system and the heater (and air conditioning - depending on the configuration)
- The operation and condition of the steering
- Condition and operation of exterior mirrors
- Work of direction indicators
- Accelerator pedal operation
- The operation of the braking system, including the parking brake
- Operation of the manual transmission and clutch
- The operation of the automatic transmission, including the transmission brake
- Condition and operation of seat adjustment mechanisms
- Condition and serviceability of seat belts
- Serviceability of sun shields
