When operating the vehicle near the coast or in areas where salt or dust suppression chemicals are used on the roads, pay special attention to the underbody and underbody. At the beginning of washing with a jet of water, remove dust and loose dirt from the body. In winter, or after driving in mud or dirty water, thoroughly rinse the underside and underbody as well. Remove adhering dirt or corrosive substances with a strong water jet. Use a quality car wash, following the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. These products are available from your Hyundai dealer or auto parts stores. Do not use strong household cleaners, benzine, strong solvents, or abrasive scouring powders that may damage the finish.

Tires with white sidewalls should be washed with a stiff brush or wire sponge and soap.
Wash the plastic wheel covers with a clean sponge or cloth.
For light alloy wheel rims, use a mild soap or neutral detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Protect metal surfaces by washing, polishing and applying pastes. In winter, pay special attention to alloy wheel rims, which are also susceptible to corrosion. Wash your wheels thoroughly after driving on salted roads.
After washing the car, spray it with plenty of water. Unwashed soapy water leaves streaks when it dries.

Do not rub hard to avoid damaging the finish.

Be especially careful to remove salt, dirt and other substances from under the wings of the body. Make sure that the water drainage holes of the doors are not clogged. Remove tar stains, industrial effluents, tree sap, insects and bird droppings immediately. they cause damage to the paint. If clean dirt does not wash off, use a solution of mild car shampoos, then be sure to wash off the remaining solution. Do not allow shampoos to dry on paintwork.
Stain removal
Do not use gasoline, strong solvents or abrasive cleaners to remove stains. They can damage the body finish. Carefully remove tar stains with a clean, soft cloth dampened with turpentine.
Remove insect stains and pine resin with warm water and mild soap or a car shampoo solution. Wet the stain and gently wipe it off. If the paint has lost its gloss, restore it with an automotive polish.
Polishing and waxing
Be sure to wash and dry the bodywork before polishing or applying a wax paste or a combination cleaner with a paste. Use only high-quality, commercially available products, following the manufacturer's instructions on the package. Polish and wax both the shiny finishes and the paintwork.
When to apply wax paste
Polishing and application of pastes should be repeated when water ceases to collect drops on a clean surface and spreads over it in a continuous layer.
Bumper Care
