Cleaning Vinyl Upholstery
Before cleaning vinyl upholstery, remove dirt and dust from it with a vacuum cleaner. Then wet them with a clean sponge or soft cloth soaked in a solution of mild soap or detergent and water. Without removing the solution, wait a while for the dirt to soften, then wipe the upholstery with a clean damp sponge or cloth. If there are still dirty spots, repeat cleaning until they are completely removed. Do not use gasoline, paint thinner or other strong cleaning agents.
Cleaning leather upholstery (depending on the configuration)
Under normal vehicle operating conditions, leather upholstery, like upholstery made from other materials, will accumulate dust and dirt over time, which must be removed to prevent it from becoming embedded in the leather and causing damage.
Thin soft leather requires careful handling and should be cleaned as needed. Washing leather upholstery thoroughly with soap and water will give it a shiny, beautiful appearance and prolong its life.
Take a piece of gauze, soak it in a solution of mild soap or detergent in warm water and beat it into a lather. Rinse the leather upholstery thoroughly, then wipe it first with a slightly damp, then dry soft cloth. Repeat this cleaning every time the leather upholstery becomes dirty.
The tanning process involves impregnating the leather with sufficient fat, so there is no need to further impregnate it with fat during its entire service life. Applying grease to the finished leather surface will do more harm than good. Do not use furniture varnish or polish under any circumstances.
Cleaning rugs
Use foam carpet cleaners, which come in aerosol or powder form. Carefully read the instructions on the product packaging and strictly follow them. Vacuum the rug as thoroughly as possible using the appropriate attachment. Apply the foam as directed on the package, then rub it in using circular, overlapping movements. Do not add water, as the mat should be as dry as possible for these products to work best.
Cleaning seat belts
Seat belts can be cleaned with a cloth or sponge dampened with a solution of mild soap or detergent in warm water. Do not use strong detergents, dyes, bleaches or abrasives, which will reduce the strength of the belts.
When cleaning the belts, inspect them for excessive wear, cuts, burns and other damage and replace them with new ones if necessary.
Glass cleaning
To clean glass, you can use any household glass cleaner. When cleaning the inside of the rear window, be careful not to damage the glass heating element.
