Removal and installation
1. Remove the upper trim from the tailgate frame.
2. Remove the high brake light.
3. Remove the side trim from the tailgate frame.
4. Remove the trim from the trunk lid.
5. Remove the latch and lock cylinder.
6. Remove the rear window wiper mechanism and motor.

7. Remove the outside door handle and door actuator.
8. Disconnect the connectors from the rear window defroster.
9. Remove the tailgate support pillar.
10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Adjustment
1. Adjust the position of the striker plate by moving it downwards or to the right or left side so that the rear of the tailgate is level with the adjacent surfaces.
2. Adjust the tailgate hinges by moving them downward or to the right or left side to correct the gap between the tailgate and the vehicle body.
