Removal



1. Release excess pressure from the fuel line to prevent fuel spillage.

Warning. Plug the ends of the hoses with rags to prevent fuel spillage.


2. Remove the distribution line together with the injectors and pressure regulator.

Warning:
  • 1. Be careful not to drop the injectors when removing the fuel rail.
  • 2. Be careful as fuel may spill when removing the injector.


Examination



1. Use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance between the injector terminals.

Standard value is 10-20 Ohm at 20°C

2. If the resistance is outside the limits, replace the injector.

Installation



1. Install new gasket and sealing ring on the injector.

2. Apply mineral oil or motor oil to the O-ring before installation.

3. Rotate the nozzle to the right and left to install it into the distribution line.

4. Make sure the nozzle rotates freely.

Note: If the nozzle does not turn freely, the sealing ring may be crushed. Remove it, reinstall it in the distribution line and recheck.
