
Removal
1. Disconnect the vent hose from the PCV vent valve. Remove the PCV valve from the cap and reconnect it to the vent hose.
2. With the engine idling, place your finger over the open end of the PCV valve and check to see if a vacuum can be felt in the intake manifold.
Note: The plunger inside the PCV valve moves back and forth.

3. If no vacuum is felt, clean the PCV valve and vent hose with cleaner or replace them if necessary.
Examination
1. Remove the PCV valve.
2. Insert a thin wire into the valve from the threaded side to ensure that the plunger inside the valve moves.
3. If the plunger inside the valve does not move, then the valve is clogged. Clean it or replace it.
Installation
Install the PCV valve and tighten it to the specified torque.

Tightening torque of PCV valve - 8-12 Nm
