Checking and adjusting drive belt tension (Hyundai Elantra J2)

There are two ways to check the drive belt tension:

1. Apply a force of 100 N by pulling or pressing it at point A, measure the belt deflection and compare it with the standard.

2. Use a belt deflection measuring device at point A.

	New belt	Used belt
Deviation	4.0-5.0 mm	5.0-5.5 mm
Tension	55-65 kg	40-50 kg
