Removal and installation
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the driver's side airbag module.
Note: For vehicles not equipped with an airbag, remove the horn assembly cover.
3. Remove the steering wheel lock nut.
4. Make marks on the steering shaft and steering wheel to align them later, and remove the steering wheel using the special tool.

Note: Do not hit the steering wheel with a hammer to remove it, as this may damage the steering column.
5. Remove the lower shock panel using a flat-blade screwdriver.

6. Remove the lower impact panel mounting bracket.
7. Disconnect the connectors connected to the multi-function switch and loosen the clamps.
8. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers.
9. Remove the multifunction switch assembly.
10. Remove the bolt connecting the universal joint and the steering gear pinion.
11. After removing the mounting bolts and nuts, remove the steering column and shaft assembly.
12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
