Reading fault codes (Hyundai Accent LC)

Execution order

Using the HI-SCAN scanner

1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Connect the HI–SCAN scanner to the diagnostic connector.

3. Turn on the ignition.

4. Read the fault codes using the HI-SCAN scanner.

5. Fix the problem.

6. Clear diagnostic trouble codes.

7. Disconnect the HI–SCAN scanner from the diagnostic connector.

Using a voltmeter

8. Turn off the ignition.

9. Connect a voltmeter to pin 1 of the diagnostic connector.

10. Connect the L-wire to terminal 15 of the diagnostic connector.

11. The output sample is shown on the voltmeter.

12. Read diagnostic trouble codes.



13. Clear diagnostic trouble codes.
