1 – resonance chamber; 2 – air intake pipe; 3 – lid; 4 – air filter element; 5 – air filter housing; 6 – bolt, 8–10 Nm; 7 – bolt, 4–6 Nm; 8 – resonance chamber.
Removal
1. Remove the air intake pipe connected to the air filter.
2. Remove the air intake hose from the air cleaner side.
3. Remove the air cleaner cover and air cleaner element.
4. Remove the bolts and air filter housing.
Examination
1. Check the air filter housing and cover for deformation, corrosion or damage.
2. Check the air duct for damage.
3. Check the resonance chamber for deformation or damage.
4. Check the air filter element for excessive dirt, damage or oil. Use compressed air to clean the filter element from the inside of the filter element. Replace the air filter element if necessary.
5. Check the air filter housing for dirt or damage.
