Attention.
- Prolonged and repeated contact with mineral oil removes the skin's natural oils, causing irritation and dermatitis. Additionally, motor oil contains potentially harmful substances that can cause skin cancer.
- Take measures to reduce the time and frequency of skin contact with oil. Use protective clothing and gloves. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Do not use gasoline or solvent.
- To avoid environmental pollution, do not dispose of the oil filter or pour out engine oil in places other than designated areas.
Petrol engines
1. Drain the engine oil.
Remove the engine oil filler cap.
Remove the drain plug and drain the oil into a suitable container.
2. Replace the oil filter.
(1) Remove the oil filter cover (A).

(2) Remove the oil filter.
(3) Check and clean the oil filter mounting surface.
(4) Make sure that the new oil filter part number matches the old filter part number.
(5) Apply clean engine oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
(6) First, install the oil filter, and then tighten it until the gasket touches the seat.
(7) Tighten to the specified torque.
Note: Tightening torque: 11.8-15.7 Nm.

3. Fill with engine oil.
(1) Clean and install the drain plug with a new gasket.
Note: Tightening torque: 34.3 - 44.1 Nm.
(2) Fill with clean engine oil.
Note:
- Oil capacity 2.0 l (without BSM)/2.4 (with BSM): Full: 4.7/5.4 l.
- Oil pan: 3.8/4.2 l.
- Volume with oil filter (oil change): 4.1/4.5 l.
(3) Install the oil filler cap.
4. Start the engine and check the system for leaks.
5. Recheck the engine oil level.
Diesel engines
1. Drain the engine oil.
(1) Remove the engine oil filler cap.
(2) Remove the drain plug and drain the oil into a suitable container.
Note: Tightening torque: 34.3 - 44.1 Nm.
2. Replace the oil filter.
(1) Loosen the drain bolt (A) at the bottom of the oil filter cover and drain the oil from the filter. Replace the sealing ring (B) of the drain bolt with a new one.

(2) Remove the oil filter cover (A).
(3) Replace the O-ring (B) of the oil filter cover with a new one.
Check the threaded portion and O-ring (B) of the filter cover. Wipe the seating surface on the oil filter cover and apply a thin film of oil to the O-ring.
(4) Install a new oil filter element (C).
(5) Loosely screw the oil filter cover into place and tighten until the sealing ring touches the seating surface. Then tighten it to the specified torque.
(6) Tighten the drain bolt to the specified torque.
Note:
- Tightening torque: Drain bolt: 10 Nm.
- Oil filter cover: 31.5 - 38.5 Nm.

3. Fill with engine oil.
(1) Clean and install the drain plug with a new gasket.
Note: Tightening torque: 34.3 - 44.1 Nm.
(2) Remove the dipstick and fill with new engine oil.
Note: First pour in half of the oil, wait at least one minute, and then the other half.
Note:
- Oil capacity: Full: 9.6 l.
- Oil pan: 7.3 l.
- Volume with oil filter (oil change): 8.0 l.
(3) Install the oil filter cover and dipstick.
4. Start the engine and check for oil leaks.
5. Recheck the engine oil level.
