Diesel Engine Oil Filter and Oil Cooler Assembly (Hyundai Tucson LM)

Removal and installation



1. Drain the engine oil.

2. Disconnect the oil cooler hoses (A).

Caution: Do not use excessive force when disconnecting and connecting the oil cooler hoses.


3. Remove the oil filter and oil cooler assembly (B).

Note: Tightening torque: 19.6 - 26.5 Nm.


Caution: When installing the oil filter and oil cooler assembly, check for O-rings on the mating surface with the cylinder block. Tighten the 4 upper bolts first, then tighten the remaining lower bolt.

4. Remove the oil cooler (B) from the oil filter (A).

Note: Tightening torque: 9.8 - 11.8 Nm.


Caution: When installing the oil cooler, make sure that there are sealing rings on the mating surface with the oil filter.
