1. Make sure that the phase shifter assembly does not rotate.
2. Wrap vinyl film on the surfaces except those shown by the arrow in the figure.
3. Place the compressor hose under the film and supply air at a pressure of 100 kPa into the camshaft channels.
Note: If oil is ejected during the above procedure, wipe it off with a rag or paper.
4. Depending on the increase or decrease in air pressure, the phase shifter should rotate in one direction or another (shown in the figure by arrows).
5. When the phase shifter has turned to the maximum angle, fix this position with a locking pin.
6. Check the angle of maximum deviation of the phase shifter. It should be 20°.
