Tightening torque: Nm
Removal
1. Remove the wheel, then remove the brake drum.
2. After removing the rear wheel bearing nuts, remove the hub with the brake drum.
3. Remove the lower return spring and lower retaining spring.
4. Remove the pads and adjuster assembly.
Examination
1. Measure the inside diameter of the brake drum. Using a dial indicator, check the drum for wear.

2. Measure the thickness of the brake linings.

3. Check if the brake lining fits well onto the drum.
4. Check the outer surface of the wheel cylinder for damage and corrosion.
5. Check the support disk for wear and damage.
Installation
1. Apply the recommended lubricant to the following areas:
- Contact surfaces of the pad and back plate.
- Contact surfaces of the pad and the support disc of the pads
Recommended lubricant
- General purpose grease - SAE J310, NLGI No. 2
3. Connect the spring to the shortened push rod.
4. After assembly, pull up the parking brake lever several times.
